Writing-In-The-Disciplines work praised on front page of The Daily Lobo

Our writing-in-the-discipline work was acknowledged and highlighted by the Daily Lobo University of New Mexico newspaper in a front-page piece entitled, “English Integrated into Engineering Curriculum.” Ms. Hubka, and Drs. Chi, Gomez, and Svihla are mentioned in the article along with some of the details of our writing program and its outcomes. The article mentions, “students who scored 50% or lower on draft reports saw an average of a 32% to 43% score increase after the peer-review process. Students said they had better self-assessment and independence because of the learning process.”
